Ingredients

  • 1 pound of ground beef
  • 1 jar of spaghetti sauce

  • 1 cup of ricotta cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon of dried basil
  • 1 tablespoon of dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper

Method

  1. First, brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat for about 8-10 minutes or until it is fully cooked. Drain the excess grease and set the beef aside.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the ricotta cheese, egg, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Next, spray the crockpot with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  4. Spread a thin layer of spaghetti sauce at the bottom of the crockpot.
  5. Layer one-third of the frozen ravioli on top of the sauce.
  6. Spread half of the ground beef on top of the ravioli.
  7. Spread half of the ricotta cheese mixture on top of the beef.
  8. Sprinkle one-third of the shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the ricotta cheese mixture.
  9. Repeat steps 5-8 with another layer of ravioli, beef, ricotta cheese mixture, and shredded mozzarella cheese.
  10. Finally, add the last layer of ravioli on top and pour the remaining spaghetti sauce on top of it.
  11. Add 1 cup of water to the crockpot to prevent the lasagna from drying out.
  12. Cover the crockpot and cook on high for 4 hours or on low for 6 hours.
  13. Once done, turn off the crockpot and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
